Any loss is a good loss!

Maintaining a pretty good average this round, quite surprising as I thought this round would move alot slower than last round. Here I am on Day 21 and my average loss per day is .87 per day - that translates into about 14 oz a day. Last round on this particular day I was at .97, which translates to about 15.5 oz a day. So I am moving slower, but in relation to overall percent of body weight lost? I am doing MUCH better this round. This round I am at 8.12% body weight lost, and at this day last round I was at 7.74% body weight loss. If you ask me, that is an important number right there, and it also goes to show you that even tho things do slow down in the pounds lost department, when it reflects as to how much percentage of weight your losing towards total body weight, well then, the numbers become amazing.

And you all thought I couldn't do math! LOL! Actually, thank goodness for the Excel Spreadsheet!

Tomorrow is PICTURE and MEASUREMENT day! I'm excited, how 'bout you all???

Glad to hear the Renee is doing better, and it was only a temporary situation. Shout out to my buddy Renee!!!

Things seemed to have calmed down quite a bit over at the "old" board. Seems the owner of the board has stepped on in and done a little moderating. That is a comfort. Still feel a little stung and will keep my distance. If anyone is reading my blog from that board, you can find most of the "old timers" over at the "other" board, there is a link for that board in my "important links" section in the left side bar entitled HCG2 and you are more than welcome to join us. I must warn you tho, it's full of support and kudos (translated "butt kissin' by some) and all rosey with sunshine and rainbows. I don't know, but that kind of place brings me JOY! With all the nastiness in the world? I want a place that I can go give high fives and WOO HOO's and slap each other on the butts for a job well done.

This protocol is by no means that difficult. It is however a life changing experience. I prefer to surround myself with people who share similar values and goals and are willing to look at this as much more than a diet.

Anyhoo, that is all I gotta say about that.

It's been a pretty hectic week for me. Wow - time really flew this week. Had lots a milestones reached and as of today, I am half way done with this round. WOW - time flies when you want to go to sleep just to get up and get on the scale! ROFL - Did I mention I crack myself up?

Three more weeks - and do you know I have no where NEAR the thoughts of food this round that I did last round. I do not have that eager anticipation about eating again that I did. That is very comforting. How strange to understand finally the direct relation of emotions to food. That is truly life altering.

I miss my sister - she is in New York being all busy and stuff and I can't reach her. Miss Lilly - if you are on the internet and can read this, I hope you are having a grand time and you are taking plenty of pics! I miss you!

Ok...enough - I have had enough, have you? Until tomorrow, did I mention it's picture and measurement day?

Would you look at that? Being all sunshine and rainbows yesterday really paid off! Didn't expect to see a pound loss but I will take it!

Sorry folks, I had a rough sleep last night - my stomach was bothering me. I had taken some Smooth Move on Wednesday Evening, and it worked OK yesterday morning, but it decided to work again during the night. It was making my stomach cramp up something fierce. I tell you this because I am already running late.

I have to go spend the day with my daughter at school - I am "Room Mother" for the day! Imagine that? ME??? HA! So that means I need some time this morning to really get ready, and not just the kind of get ready that I do normally just to take the kids to school.

HA!

My menu yesterday was my two fruits, orange and apple, and then Catfish Creole and Chicken Soup.

One of my good internet blog friends had a rough day yesterday, if you could spread her some sunshine today it would be wonderful. She is the wonderful author of HCG Recipes and she has her own blog My Journey With HCG. She is an incredibly giving person and has given so much of her time and energy to help make the protocol much more livable, and she just needs a little in return. Thinking of you Buddy!

Have a beautiful sunshiny day!

I am feeling all sunshine and rainbows today! I wonder why!

I am not going to allow any one to rain on my parade, nope, not gonna do it. I cannot waste my valuable time and energy on things that do not appreciate that I have made the sacrifice. I will focus my energies on things that bring me joy. Let's list some of the things that bring me joy, shall we? Since this blog is about the "Protocol" - I will focus on that.

  • Being able to cross my legs, without having to prop one so that it will stay.
  • Getting into my car without having to lift the steering wheel.
  • Being able to keep up with my daughters pace without being out of breath.
  • Seeing the number go below 140 for the very first time in a long while on the blood pressure monitor.
  • Feeling the joy across the internet of others that have made a success of this protocol and have made profound changes in their lives.
  • Being UNDER 200 pounds and finally being able to consider getting myself some Health Insurance because I qualify!
  • My daughter being able to hug me with both arms and they meet on the other side.
  • Putting on and being able to wear a size 14 dress. (thanks Ju!)
  • Getting good sleep! (I am truly making up for lost time here folks)
  • Being able to not feel disappointed when I make my family a dish that I used to love and really could care less about now.
  • Being able to be of service to people - to help people and to be helped with this protocol.
  • To watch and learn from the old timers who have made it thru to the "other side" and have been successful in keeping the weight stable. (Yes, my tita, this is you, and let's not forget you Ju as well!)
  • To see all the beautiful progress pics of people, just like myself that have taken this nasty weight off and are showing it can be done to the masses. And even those folks that are not brave enough to show their pictures world wide but have been comfortable enough to show me, thank you, that brings me MUCH joy.
  • To expand my tastes and creativity in eating different things, and being able to do that using one protein and one veggie, who would have thunk?

Quite amazing, and I am sure I will think of more later, but that is all for now. I have spent way too much time on here already and need to get moving!

What was my menu yesterday? Chicken Fajitas for lunch, and Taco Salad for dinner - boring, I know.

This is sunshine and rainbows, checking out for the day! Please everyone, have a beautiful sunshiny day!

Not too much to say today, I am running late so I can't spend a lot of time on my post today.

Yesterday, not so different than any other day food wise ... I had chicken with tomatoes and cilantro for lunch and then a chicken salad with red leaf lettuce for dinner. Ate my first HoneyCrisp apple for the first time ever, and was not impressed.

Stall? Shmall. Over it! Onward and upward!

Have a great day people.

Oh yeah baby! Would you LOOK at that number! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Finally - that good ole number "ONE" is the first number. WOW! And it came in with a BANG and not a WHIMPER! That is what I am talking about!

WOW! Who would have thunk? I know I say that alot, but this is totally CRAZY?!?!?! I mean, come on, seriously. Who would have THUNK IT???? Who would believe I could give myself a shot every day, eat very low calories, not be hungry, not have cravings, NOT exercise, and I could lose this kind of weight in this span of time? Really? NO ONE would have been able to tell me this and I believe it. NO ONE. I am in AWE.

I am totally blown. away. seriously.

This is really too much for me today - I'm feeling a bit verklempt - I'm at a loss. This is too much this early in the morning.

I just want another party. Celebrate with me! Visit me! Post for me! Another "ME" day! I deserve it by golly!

If you don't normally post on blogs, drop me an email bizadventure at comcast dot net - wow! People, I am totally stoked.

WOW!!!!!!!!

Just a pause...I have to thank all the old timers at YahooGroups who made this possible, you all know who you are. You folks were my backbone - my support system.

I especially want to thank my sister, without whom I would not be here. Thanks for being who you are "SISSY" - thanks for looking at things from an unbiased stance. Thanks for being willing to try anything to get healthy. Thanks for being someone I can look up to and trust - thanks for listening to my excitement each and every day. Thanks for being my shoulder when things aren't the greatest but also being that ONE person I want to tell my success story too. Thanks for being my biggest advocate in everything that I do. Thanks for being my sister. I love you dearly.

And MOM? Thank you too - thank you for never being the kind of mom that bugged me about my weight. Thank you for never labeling me "fat". Yes, you always showed concern, but you always hooked up my weight with being healthy. That is all you ever said to me about my weight. Thank you. And mom??? I want those Real Estate Clothes. Those clothes NEVER go out of style! ROFL

Ok...nuff said. I am going to bask in the greatness of being one of those UNDER 200 pounds!

I did it!

Lookie at what Regina made for me! Thank you Regina!!! That is about how I felt yesterday! I was throwing my hands up in the air and saying YIPPEE!!!!

Thank you ALL for celebrating with me yesterday! I had fun! I got tons of emails and I also got tons of posts over at the Yahoo Groups! WOW! You like me, you really like me! (visions of Sally Field spring up, don't it for you?)

But seriously folks, thanks so much for all the warm wishes. I was literally floating all day, it was wonderful! But do you think my scale would have cooperated with me today and let me see something without the number "2" in front of it??? OMG - NO WAY!

200.0 - look at ALL THOSE ZEROES! ROFL! I couldn't believe it. Give me a stinking ONE already! Just a little bitty one! Let me see that number one - oh well, the party will have to continue on another day. Back to the rat race of living a normal life! ROFL - Did I mention I crack myself up???

So yesterday I had the opportunity to dress up and go somewhere in the morning ... and do you know what happened when I sat down in my chair? I could CROSS MY LEGS! And there wasn't PAIN involved, and I wasn't looking for something to prop my foot against because my leg would stay crossed on it's own? OMG! Do you know how good that felt to actually be able to cross my legs like a lady? Oh gosh, it's the little things.

My eating yesterday? Uneventful - just steak and onions for lunch, and Creole Catfish for dinner. I seriously want to give Renee's Cioppino a try here shortly, also her Onion Rings - mmmm, doesn't that sound nummy?

Well, here we go, I am into my 3rd week on the protocol - things are going well. Just some little FAQ's:

1st week weight loss 2nd round - 7.6 pounds - 3.54% of body weight lost
2nd week weight loss 2nd round - 6.2 pounds - 6.44% of body weight lost

1st week weight loss 1st round - 8.4 pounds - 3.35% of body weight lost
2nd week weight loss 1st round - 6.4 pounds - 5.90% of body weight lost

Interesting eh? So even tho I am losing slower this round than last, my percentage of body weight lost is better. I can live with that! But those are not bad numbers whatsoever!

Ok...off to another day!
